Epoxy art resin is a two-part compound commonly used in creative applications like resin art, jewelry, tabletops, coasters, geode-inspired artwork, and more. It cures to a clear, glass-like, high-gloss finish and is valued for its durability and aesthetic appeal.
Basic Composition
Part A: Epoxy Resin – a viscous liquid containing epoxide groups.
Part B: Hardener (curing agent) – typically contains amines or anhydrides.
When mixed (usually in a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio depending on the brand), a chemical reaction (exothermic) occurs, hardening the resin into a solid plastic.
