What is Redium Grout?
Redium Grout is a high-performance, non-shrink cementitious grout used primarily in construction and civil engineering applications. It is designed for precision grouting, anchoring, and filling voids under machinery bases, columns, precast concrete units, and bridge bearings.
Key Features:
Non-shrink: Redium Grout compensates for shrinkage during curing, ensuring the grout maintains volume and load-bearing capacity.
High strength: It develops high compressive strength quickly, allowing early load transfer.
Good flowability: Suitable for pumping and placement in tight spaces.
Durable and resistant: Provides good resistance to chemical attack, freeze-thaw cycles, and corrosion.
Versatile: Can be used for both dry pack and fluid grouting applications.
Easy to mix and apply: Requires only addition of water or a specified liquid for mixing.
Typical Applications:
Grouting of base plates and machine foundations.
Filling voids beneath precast concrete panels.
Bridge bearing pads installation.
Anchoring bolts and dowels.
Repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures.
Infrastructure projects like tunnels, dams, and heavy engineering.
Technical Specifications (Typical values; may vary by manufacturer):
Property Value
Compressive strength 40–70 MPa (varies by grade)
Setting time Initial: 2–4 hours
Flow 150–300 mm (slump flow)
Water-cement ratio 0.35–0.45
Expansion Slight positive expansion
Density 2.2–2.4 g/cm³
Application Guidelines:
Surface Preparation: Clean all surfaces of dust, oil, loose particles, and laitance. Pre-wet the surface to saturated surface dry (SSD) condition.
Mixing: Use clean water and mix as per manufacturer’s instructions. Mechanical mixing is preferred.
Placement: Pour or pump grout continuously to avoid air pockets. Use proper vibration or tamping if necessary.
Curing: Protect the grout from rapid drying by curing with water spray, wet burlap, or curing compounds.
Safety and Handling:
Use protective gear like gloves, masks, and goggles.
Avoid inhaling dust during mixing.
Store in a dry place and keep bags sealed.
